Berger Paints India Ltd's consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter that ended on March 31, 2023, declined by 15.56% to Rs 186.01 crore due to a loss from a fire incident at its Goa plant.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 220.29 crore in the same period a year ago. However, its revenue from operations witnessed an 11.7% increase at Rs 2,443.63 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 2,187.51 crore in the previous year. Berger Paints stated that the financial impact of the loss from the fire has been recognized and accounted for.
